The Spectrumâ
Series II
technology was specifically developed to meet the growing need of
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), to outsource Engineering and
Technical solutions as they strive to meet the needs of their customers in
the presence of ever more stringent Emissions Regulations.
These systems, which include new electronic fuel and engine
management systems to reduce emissions of industrial engines, comply with a new regulation introduced by California's Air Resources Board
(CARB). This regulation applies to industrial equipment using internal
combustion engines below 129 kW. This includes engines for forklifts,
trucks, portable welders, wood chippers, airport equipment, sweepers,
portable generators, personnel lifts, agricultural equipment, construction
equipment and others. These systems will be introduced on t
he
European market this year.
The challenges of emission regulations for
industrial equipment requires total integration of the fuel delivery
components, the electronic controls, exhaust components, sensors, engine
management and fuel storage. The result is a systems based fusion called
Spectrum.
